EMPOWERMENT: PROFIT – ByeBye_Boys'Club Studio

EMPOWERMENT: PROFIT

Our economy was built and continues to be maintained to favour power and profit being shared only by the wealthy few.

At BB_BC studio, we firmly believe that the best design solutions and innovations arise from collaboration and skill sharing.

Our goal is to create employment opportunities for a diverse range of creatives by developing projects that have a positive impact on local communities whilst promoting the redistribution of wealth to address inequality within our economy and society.

By prioritising collaboration, skill sharing, and unity, we can create regenerative profits that benefit all parties involved.

How we commit to this:

  • We prioritise working with, collaborating with, and extending employment opportunities to those who have experienced barriers entering the workplace or whose social-economic background has prevented them from accessing creative opportunities.
  • We do not discriminate against anyone who wishes to engage in the design world and welcome those who want to learn and grow with us, regardless of their background.
  • We pay the real living wage and above and are committed to addressing the gender pay gap by prioritising working with women* and non-gender conforming persons to continue closing the gap.
  • Flexible first – we believe the 9-5 is outdated and discriminatory to many, increasing barriers into the workplace. Therefore we support flexible working hours that fit around people’s lives and needs as well as remote working.
  • We are actively working towards providing mentorship and work experience opportunities for young people, as well as those returning to work, including ex-offenders who are seeking employment and skills training.

* Our definition of women includes anyone with female experience – past or present – and is trans-inclusive.
